1 year agoHead of Ingushetiya Yevkurov announced his resignation.
Yunus-Bek Evkurov, Ingushetia's long-standing leader (11 years) announces will be stepping down. His acquiescence to border changes with Chechnya (presumably on Moscow's say so) caused mass protests, made him immensely unpopular locally.
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs have suspended 10 policemen from service for exceeding their authority during the dispersal of a rally in Tbilisi.
1 year agoThe Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has launched an investigation into allegations of abuse of power by riot police against protesters on 20–21 June in Tbilisi. They called on the public to come forward with evidence of misconduct to help the investigation.
